Competitive city regeneration is the regeneration of an area within a city in order to make it competitive with other cities around the world. To maintain its competitiveness it needs to attract investment into the area. To do this, cities need attractions in the form of events of major events or places people want to go to, examples of this are the London Olympics in 2012 or the Guggenheim Musem in Bilbao, Spain.
