The Project
This project was to help the East Oxford Primary School with the development of the school. The issue with the redevelopment was the school did not have the funds to afford the development, which is why the school proposed the allocation of 50 housing units to help cover the cost. The school asked us to create broad ideas about how the new school and its immediate surroundings will look.
The Clients
The Clients for this project was the East Oxford Primary School. We worked closely with the school, having a briefing at the start of the project as well as presentations in the middle and end of the project.
The Process
With the redevelopment of the site, we had to look at many different aspects of the site, such as the fitting in the school on to the site whilst also making sure there are enough housing units on the site to make the whole development viable.
This meant we looked at building units size and to do this we used AutoCAD to create the floor plans. As well as this we had to create high-quality open space which joins the housing units to the school and the surrounding neighbourhood.
The final product had to be a 3D model and a range of posters and a Design and access statement which were created using the Adobe suite.
